Heavy Duty Towing

Heavy-duty work is decided by the iron you can put on scene. We run our own recovery units and our own trailers, which means we can match the equipment to the job instead of making the wrong tool work.

Recovery units

• Rotators — for complex lifts and recoveries where there is no clean straight pull: rollovers, awkward angles, vehicles over an embankment or against a barrier.
• 50-ton wrecker — our heaviest unit, for loaded tractor-trailers, coach buses and the recoveries that smaller trucks cannot safely attempt.
• 25-ton wrecker — medium and heavy work: box trucks, dump trucks, single-axle tractors and equipment.
• Tractor — for relocating disabled trailers and hauling our own trailer fleet to site.

Trailers and transport

• Landoll Traveler, detachable and traveling axle — loads non-running and low-clearance equipment that cannot be winched onto a conventional deck.
• Low bed trailer — tall and oversized machinery that will not clear height limits on a standard deck.
• Flat deck trailer — general equipment and machinery haulage.
• Dry van trailer — for transferring freight off a trailer that cannot continue, so the load keeps moving even when the truck does not.
• Reefer trailer, temperature controlled — for perishable and temperature-sensitive loads. If a refrigerated trailer goes down, the clock on the cargo is the real emergency, and most operators have nowhere to put it.
• Dump trailer — debris, spilled material and site clearance.

• Tractor-trailer and semi recovery — loaded or empty, on the shoulder or off it.
• Rollover and accident recovery — uprighting, extraction and clearing the scene so the road can reopen.
• Winch-outs and off-road recovery — mud, embankments, ditches and soft shoulders.
• Load shifts, decking and un-decking — including cargo transfer to a second trailer.
• Box truck, dump truck and bus towing — commercial and municipal vehicles of every description.
• Heavy equipment transport — excavators, loaders, bucket trucks, drill rigs and other machinery, running or not.
• RV and motorhome recovery — oversized vehicles that most light-duty operators will not touch.
• Commercial roadside response — jump starts, air, tires and fuel for fleet vehicles, 24/7.

We are based at 824 Peekskill Hollow Road in Putnam Valley, which puts us close to the roads where heavy-duty calls actually happen. Our heavy-duty team runs the major Hudson Valley corridors around the clock:

• Interstate 84 — the east–west freight route across the mid-Hudson.
• Taconic State Parkway — including removal of commercial vehicles that are not permitted on the parkway at all.
• Interstate 684 — the Brewster–Westchester commuter and freight link.
• US Route 6 — the local arterial through Putnam Valley, Mahopac and Carmel.
• Plus I-87, I-287, I-95 connections and Route 9.
